Long week
The girls had play rehearsal three days last week ending in a performance yesterday at the Frist Center for the Arts. They were ninjas in Momotaro the Peach Boy. Emma was one of Momotaro's travelling companions, a monkey! Typecasting for sure!!! Bella held up signs for audience participation ( happy, astonished and "the great lord Momotaro!"). It was lots of fun! They were very proud of themselves. Considering they had only started rehearsing a week ago, I'd say they did fantastic! The education director was floored! Lou's parents came and watched as well.
We were crazy yesterday. Ate like we weren't used to food! I won't go into the gory details but we went nuts! Had fun at Cherri's after the play. They had made homemade ice cream. Mmmmmm.
The girls caught a tadpole in her pond and and he husband Wayne got them a small aquarium to be able to watch him grow into a frog.
I have felt like garbage all day. Didn't sleep well last night. On top of all that...Emma decided that math was too hard and she spent ALL day doing it. I'm talking from 9am to 4:30pm. She has finally moved on to vocabulary and still has two chapters in The Farmer Boy to read before bed. I mean really. Talk about wanting to come unglued on her! This too shall pass. She usually pulls this about once or twice a year.

I think all our kids try that LOL. Miles and Mendel spend a couple times a year trying to figure out how to get out of doing their work. It will pass!
Congratulations on the girls and their play. I would love to have seen that! I hope you get to feeling better. Eler Beth has a bit of a summer cold (stuffy head, sneezing), and today she ran a low-grade fever, so she's probably getting a sinus infection or something. At fifteen she still has some days where she wants to take all day to do her work -- it's usually either math or history that brings that on. Hang in there Mom and try not to come unglued. lol It will be better tomorrow!!
