We have been going non-stop since about 2 weeks ago. Doctor's appointments, reenacting demonstrations, camping with Girl Scouts, choir rehearsals, guitar lessons, Spanish lessons and regular school. I'm bushed! No, really, I'm so tired I may sleep for a week.
Last week was two days of demonstrating natural dyes for about 1500 school kids from around Middle Tennessee. Work, I tell you. Fun but work. Add to that we dress like it's 1799 and you have long days that are very warm.
The camping trip was a challenge. I like to camp. I understand that it isn't for everyone. But once you are out there can we please, please just agree to have fun and not tell me how bored you are? Boredom is a state of mind. Truly. I have never understood getting bored. My kids are rarely, if ever bored. Especially when there is a creek to explore.
We came home from our trip expecting to go to Lou's parents' house for the afternoon. He got a text, yes, a text, telling us to stay home. Spend the time with your family, Pop has some yard work to do. Okay, we see them about once a month or so. Sometimes it's longer between time. They rarely come here. Once a year at most. Feeling a little rejected over here.
I feel a grumpy, sleep deprived rant coming on that I best put a stop to. Oh, can I also just say that finding out info about family on Facebook adds to my frustration?
